Workflow for InDesign CS, CS2 and CS3

1. Download our InDesign template from the Product page for the item you are ordering. Use the template to create a new file, or place your existing document within the template. [Templates Page]

Advanced Users Note: If you are familiar with PDF workflows, you may proceed without a template. However, please scrutinize your artwork in your online proof carefully.

2. Carefully follow all the guidelines for All Applications.

3. Print a laser or inkjet proof for a final internal check,

4. InDesign CS has the capability to export files directly to the PDF/x standard. It is recommended that you use this setting if you are using InDesign CS. Go to File->PDF Export Presets->[PDF/X-1a] and save your document as PDF/X-1a. Screenshot

Workflow for InDesign Versions Prior to CS:
1. Download our InDesign template from the Product page for the item you are ordering. Use the template to create a new file, or place your existing document within the template. [Templates Page]

2. Carefully follow all the guidelines for All Applications.

3. Print a laser or inkjet proof for a final internal check, then Export Page as EPS: Screenshot

4. Choose the format EPS Screenshot

5. In the Export EPS General Tab, set PostScript to Level 2, Color to CMYK, Embed Fonts to Complete, and Data Format to Binary. Set all bleeds to "0", since bleeds are included in our template. Screenshot


6. In the Export EPS Advanced Tab, set Send Data to All and Transparency Flattener to High Resolution. Turn off all the other buttons, then Export. Screenshot


7. Your file is now ready to distill to PDF. See Adobe Acrobat instructions.
