Proofing Your Job
We offer three proofing methods for your final uploaded file.
PDF
The PDF proof that is generated during preflight of your job may be sufficient for most or perhaps all of your print orders. It shows fonts, line breaks, basic color, crop marks, bleeds and safe area relative to your artwork. However, as explained in our Help Section (see About Color and Monitor Calibration), monitor color inaccuracies can sometimes lead to surprises on the final printed piece.
Fax Proof
A fax proof shows final crops, fonts, line breaks, etc. A fax proof is $10 and will be faxed to you within four business hours after approval of your PDF.
Epson 7600 Hard Copy Proof
Our hard copy proof is the recommended proofing method for color-critical jobs. This is a "BestColor" proof imaged on a 720 dpi Epson 7600, calibrated to match our printing. When you order a SavoirProof, we presscheck your job with a copy of the proof that you receive. Our color accuracy using this method is about 90-95%.
An Epson proof is $75.00, including overnight shipping. We ship proofs the same day on all jobs approved by NOON (Pacific time) via FedEx Priority Overnight.
